Help organisations: where to find them

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them, and no address or telephone number is published here for any of them.

Deciding an amount: before you start

Set the amount you are willing to spend before you begin, and treat that money as already spent the moment you commit it. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of deciding in the moment, when a run of results can make a higher figure feel reasonable. Once a session starts, do not chase a loss by increasing the amount to try to recover it: the loss is already fixed, and trying to undo it usually just creates a second, larger loss. Keep gambling separate from borrowed money or funds set aside for bills, so that a loss stays contained to what you planned to risk and nothing else.

Breaks and other people: acting early

Take breaks during a session rather than playing continuously, since a pause gives you a chance to notice whether you are still enjoying it or just continuing out of momentum. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, that is the point to involve someone else, whether a friend, a family member, or one of the organisations linked on this page. Acting early, before spending has grown into a habit that's hard to interrupt, is far easier than trying to change course later.

Account controls: where they actually live

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion all belong to an account held with an operator. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch such a control on, check whether one is active, or enforce one. Each of the ten operator listings on this site ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site — each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

Age and verification: what happens where

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it; any check of that kind happens at the destination once a reader follows an operator link. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on risky behaviour they may have shown elsewhere. If you want to stop, that intention is best acted on directly with the organisations linked above, or within the account controls offered at whichever destination you use, since this static page cannot start, monitor or stop anything on your behalf.
